Microsoft has announced a concept version of the Windows operating system aimed at in-car entertainment for the connected car. Although details are limited at this stage, 'Windows in the Car' is set to challenge the already confirmed Apple CarPlay and Google’s Open Automotive Alliance, which is also aiming to bring the Android OS into vehicles. As with the rival options, Microsoft’s in-car OS would be based on its existing Windows Phone software, adapted to suit the different demands of the driving environment.
Despite the Honda Coupe's 'concept' designation, this car essentially previews the ninth-generation model set to go on sale later this year. Proportionally the new car is an evolution of the outgoing model, with a slim side profile and elongated tail. Its lamp, grille and window graphics also build on the existing themes but have been refined to add more balance and definition to the car's detailing.

If only. This is a selection (yes, there were lots more) of Porsche race cars from the Rennsport Reunion held recently at Daytona Beach, Florida. The event runs every three years, organised by Brian Redman (of Can-Am and F1 fame) and his son James with a helping hand from Stuttgart.
